Asaduddin Owaisi of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has called for Pakistan to be reinstated on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list, warning that the $2 billion IMF loan could be used to support its military and terrorist groups. Speaking on Monday during an interaction with the Indian diaspora in Kuwait, Owaisi emphasized the need for stricter financial oversight on Pakistan, as reported by ANI.

He highlighted Pakistan’s role in funding terror groups against India through money laundering and hawala transactions in the Middle East. Owaisi also rejected Pakistan’s attempts to raise religious issues against India, pointing out that India has a larger and more sincere Muslim population.

“Pakistan cannot claim to represent Muslims on this issue. India has a bigger Muslim community, and we (Indian Muslims) are more sincere than them (Pakistan),” he said.

Owaisi is part of an all-party delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, which includes members like Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and diplomat Harsh Shringla. The delegation is visiting countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria to inform global partners about India’s response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and its ongoing fight against cross-border terrorism.

The multi-party group, consisting of seven teams each led by an MP, aims to combat misinformation worldwide and showcase India’s firm stance against terrorism.

Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and Democratic Progressive Azad Party chairman, accused Pakistan of spreading false information. Baijayant Panda asserted that India will no longer tolerate terrorism from Pakistan and will respond decisively, demanding that Pakistan stop terrorism on its soil and cease spreading misinformation.
