AIIMS Finds No Clear Association Between COVID Vaccines and Sudden Cardiac Deaths, Refutes Siddaramaiah’s Claims
Amid growing concerns and public debate, AIIMS doctors have clarified the situation on an issue that was causing considerable confusion in recent times. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah claimed to have added to the covid-19 vaccine and sudden cardiovascular incidents, which is clearly misunderstood by medical experts.
According to Dr. Karan Madan and his team, no clear relationship has been found in the covid vaccine and sudden cardiovascular deaths. Their statement is backed by detailed research, including AIIMS-led studies, which found no solid evidence supporting the claim. Instead, they emphasized that the vaccines played a key role in reducing the severity and death rate during the peak of the pandemic.
Health researchers across India including from ICMR and NCDC have echoed similar views. They’ve pointed out that sudden cardiac deaths are more often linked to lifestyle habits, underlying conditions, family history, and sometimes even the after-effects of COVID-19 infection itself, rather than the vaccines.
Giving further emphasis on reasonable things, Biocon's Executive Chairman Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw also clarified that the Covid vaccine in India was approved according to emergency global standards and there was no hurry in it. He explained the statement of the Chief Minister of Karnataka beyond the facts and emphasized the need to rely on science based data.
Experts have now appealed to the general public not to panic and do not reach any conclusion in a hurry. Every sudden death is tragic and deserves investigation, but without evidence blaming can harm the trust of public health.
The AIIMS report gives an important message: Vaccine was developed to save lives, and so far no clear relationship has been found that associates it with the deaths of sudden heart rate. Therefore, instead of fear, it is important to focus on overall health and responsible awareness.
