Shah Rukh Khan Receives Y+ Security Cover Amid Death Threats

Shah Rukh Khan has been granted Y+ security cover by the Mumbai Police due to mounting death threats following the remarkable success of his movies, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan.’ This enhanced security arrangement entails round-the-clock protection by a team of six armed security personnel, a significant increase from the previous two-person detail.

Mr. Khan’s decision to seek increased security measures came after he reported receiving menacing threats linked to his recent blockbuster releases. In response to his concerns, the Maharashtra government promptly decided to bolster the security provisions for the beloved actor.

Notably, this move is reminiscent of a similar security upgrade provided to actor Salman Khan just last year when he faced threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang.

It’s worth mentioning that Shah Rukh Khan has a history of facing threats from the Mumbai underworld and has consistently displayed resilience in dealing with such challenges.

Sanjay Gupta, a renowned filmmaker, recently took to social media to commend Shah Rukh Khan for his unwavering determination in overcoming adversities, including threats from criminal elements.

“In the 90s, during the peak of underworld intimidation of film stars, Shah Rukh Khan stood out as the ONLY star who refused to yield. ‘Goli marni hai mar do, par tumhaare liye kaam nahin karoonga. Main Pathan hoon’ (Shoot me if you want to, but I won’t work for you, I am a Pathan),” Mr. Gupta stated, emphasizing Khan’s unyielding spirit.

Under the policy established by the Maharashtra government, security cover is extended to individuals facing life-threatening situations. In such instances, citizens may be required to pay a fee or deposit a security amount to avail themselves of the protective services.
