As the two Bollywood superstars prepare to battle it out at the box office, film enthusiasts can expect a high-voltage clash on December 22, 2023.

Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan made the official announcement via Twitter, declaring, “BREAKING: Pan India Star Prabhas’ Salaar CONFIRMED to hit the BIG screens worldwide on 22 December 2023. Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire on December 22 🔥. Clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. The date is so good that Prashanth Neel’s Salaar will take a historic opening of the year at the worldwide box office.”

Initially, Salaar‘s release date faced delays due to technical issues, originally slated for September 28. Now, fans can mark their calendars for December 22, when the epic clash is set to unfold. While Dunki had previously staked its claim on Christmas, its official release date is yet to be announced.

During an ‘Ask SRK’ session on X, Shah Rukh Khan responded to a fan’s query about Dunki‘s release, saying, “Dunki is fixed. Aur kya karoon maathe pe gudwa loon (Yes, it is fixed, should I get it tattooed on my head now?)”

Backing up this showdown, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the clash in a tweet, stating, “Yes. It’s true… SRK Vs Prabhas, Dunki Vs Salaar this Christmas… The exhibitors have received a mail stating that #Salaar will arrive THIS CHRISTMAS [on 22 Dec 2023]… An official announcement by the producers, Hombale Films, will be made on Friday [29 Sept 2023].”

Salaar, touted as an action thriller, marks the first collaboration between director Prashanth Neel and the renowned actor Prabhas. With these two blockbuster movies vying for audience attention, December 22 promises to be a date etched in the annals of cinematic history.
