PM Narendra Modi Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Delhi Schoolgirls

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Raksha Bandhan in Delhi with schoolgirls. In Delhi, schoolgirls tied Rakhi to the Prime Minister as they shared the Raksha Bandhan holiday.

When the prime minister entered the classroom and the students attached the holy thread to him, they greeted him with smiles. Along with giving them a warm grin and asking for their names and courses, PM Modi also welcomed them.

A group photo with instructors, students, and the prime minister was also taken on this special occasion. The girls wrapped custom-made rakhis with his likeness on them around PM Modi’s wrist.

Everywhere in the nation, the festival honouring the enduring tie between a brother and a sister is being observed with the customary grandeur and intensity. Schoolgirls in the Udhampur area of Jammu and Kashmir bound rakhis to CRPF soldiers. BSF soldiers joined schoolchildren in the Samba area of the Valley to celebrate Raksha Bandhan.

Prior to it, the Prime Minister also extended greetings to the public in honour of Raksha Bandhan. He remarked on X that this auspicious event, which is dedicated to the unwavering trust and profound love between sister and brother, is a holy expression of our culture and expressed the hope that it would increase peoples’ sense of love and harmony. Sisters traditionally ‘rakhi’ their brothers’ wrists to celebrate the event.
