‘Pakistan Jeete Ga’ Chants in Hyderabad Stadium After Cricket World Cup Win

Pakistan’s cricket team defeated Sri Lanka in the Cricket World Cup 2023, marking their second consecutive win in the tournament. Mohammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique played crucial roles in Pakistan’s successful chase of a massive target, both scoring centuries and boosting confidence in the team’s middle-order strength.

However, an interesting aspect of the match was the chants of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ heard at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. These chants were captured in a video, and they appeared to be led by a DJ who started the famous chant “Jeetega bhai jeetega, Pakistan jeetega.” The crowd enthusiastically joined in, and the chant lasted for close to a minute.

While the enthusiasm of the crowd was evident, it also sparked reactions on social media. Some expressed strong reactions, believing that such chants should have no place in India. Nevertheless, it highlighted the passion and support for Pakistan among certain sections of the crowd.

Pakistan’s innings against Sri Lanka was marked by an impressive performance by openers Rizwan and Shafique, both scoring centuries and setting the stage for their team’s historic run chase. Pakistan is set to face India in their upcoming match on October 14 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and they will need to address concerns about their bowling attack’s form. The team management will focus on improving their pace and spin departments, line and length consistency, and adaptability to different conditions.
