FIR Filed Against Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Kamal Nath, and Arun Yadav’s Social Media Handlers in Indore

In Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, a FIR has been filed against Congress national secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, former chief minister Kamal Nath, and former Union minister Arun Yadav’s social media handlers for a social media post accusing the BJP government of corruption.

The FIR follows a series of warnings issued by senior BJP leaders in Madhya Pradesh after Congress leaders levelled allegations of “50% commission government” against the ruling BJP dispensation in a coordinated attack, similar to the “40% commission government” tag used in the Karnataka elections, which proved effective in branding the government as corrupt.

The FIR was based on a complaint filed on Saturday by Nimesh Pathak, an Indore-based BJP legal cell worker. It was filed in Indore’s Sanyogitaganj under Indian Penal Code sections 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 469 (forgery with intent to injure reputation).

According to the Indore Police, the FIR was filed against “accused Gyanendra Awasthi and handlers of Twitter accounts @MPArun Yadav, @OfficeOfKNath @priyankagandhi” after “this fake letter went viral on social media.”

Pathak stated in his complaint that he learned of “a newspaper clipping that was made viral on social media by Congress party leaders, in which a contractor’s union had written a letter to the MP High Court alleging that the state was demanding 50% commission to get work done.”

Pathak stated that the letter was written by one Gyanendra Awasthi, but when he inquired about Awasthi, he did not “receive any information about any such association or person.”

“It is suspected that the aforementioned letter is being circulated on various social media sites in a planned manner by the Congress with false allegations in order to tarnish the image of the Madhya Pradesh government and the Bharatiya Janata Party.” If it is true and Gyanendra Awasthi is truly available, harsh action should be done in accordance with Madhya Pradesh government policy and norms,” the FIR stated.

In response to the police accusation, Kamal Nath stated, “There are thousands of corruption cases.” How many cases will the BJP file? What is the remedy now that corruption has been exposed throughout the state? Ask the folks standing here whether the letter is real or phoney. All of these people will tell you not one, but 100-200 letters.”

Yadav stated that Congress will “fight against 50% commission government.”

“When Congress leaders are not afraid of being hanged by the British, they are also not afraid of the FIR of their sole-licking ideology,” our leader Rahul Gandhi adds. We used to battle the English, but now we’ll fight the 50% commission holders,” Yadav explained.

The BJP moved quickly on the subject when Congress representatives made the claims on social media. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed the intelligence agency to investigate the corruption allegations, stating that the Congress has a pre-planned goal to tarnish the BJP and the state government, and threatening Congress leaders with legal action.

“It was discovered that this man does not exist, and the address mentioned in the letter is a forgery,” Chouhan said.

State Home Minister Narottam Mishra demanded proof from Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, accusing her of lying. He claimed that Congress was engaging in politics “with a disgusting mentality” without regard for the consequences.

“State Congress leaders first got Rahul Gandhi to lie, and now they’ve gotten Priyanka Gandhi to tweet a lie.” “Priyanka ji, provide proof of your tweets or we will take appropriate action,” the minister said on Saturday.

V D Sharma, the state BJP head, accused the Congress of being power-hungry and eager for power by peddling lies. “This is a conspiracy, and the BJP will prosecute this tweet under cybercrime…She’ll have to explain where she received this letter. On the basis of a forged letter, you (Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) fooled not only Madhya Pradesh, but the entire country,” he stated.
