The chatbot’s candid answers, including calling Rahul Gandhi more honest than PM Modi, sparked a viral debate. Grok's responses, deemed "brutally honest," gained attention, especially after a BBC article titled “Why Elon Musk's Grok is kicking up a storm in India” went viral. Musk reacted to the controversy with a laughing emoji on X, which further fueled the online discussion.
Some users criticized Grok for bias, while others questioned Musk's role in spreading misinformation. Grok's response claimed Musk spreads the most disinformation on X. Nikhil Pahwa, founder of a tech policy site, stated the controversy was overblown, emphasizing that AI reflects the data it's trained on. Grok's behavior mirrors the tone of X’s discourse, with bizarre and abusive content shaping its responses.
