On September 19, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi plant a Kadamb sapling at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, in New Delhi. The sapling was a personal gift from King Charles III of the United Kingdom, present on the occasion of PM Modi 75th birthday. This gesture was part of PM Modi's environmental campaign titled Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,  which encourages to plant tree in tribute to one's mother.

The Kadamb tree, native to Indian subcontinent and revered in Indian culture, add symbolic depth to the act. It represent environmental responsibility and shared commitment between India and the UK towards sustainability. Earlier, during PM Modi visit to UK in July, he had gifted King Charles a Sonoma tree sapling, further strengthen the environmental ties between two nations.
