The plight of Kakori's government school: Studying under tarpaulin, children's lives in danger

A deeply concerning situation has emerged from the Kakori area in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, where children have been studying under a tarpaulin in a government school for the past two years. Amid rain, heat, and dust, this struggle for education has become even more dangerous due to high-tension electric wires and a dilapidated building.

According to local residents and parents, the old school building has become extremely dilapidated and could collapse at any moment. As a temporary solution, the school administration started conducting classes in the open under a tarpaulin. However, the high-tension power lines passing overhead continue to pose a constant threat to the children's safety.

Despite this, neither has the building been repaired nor has any alternative arrangement been made so far. Parents have repeatedly complained to the education department and the administration, but the situation remains unchanged. This condition not only raises questions about the children's right to education but also exposes the negligence of the administration. Immediate action is now necessary so that this tarpaulin of danger can be removed once and for all from the dreams of the future.
