Delhi CM Rekha Gupta's Security Enhanced After Attack
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's security has been upgraded to 'Z-plus' category following an attack during a 'Jan Sunwai' (public hearing) at her Civil Lines residence. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is reviewing the security arrangements, which now include more personnel and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The attack occurred when a 41-year-old man physically assaulted the CM during the public hearing. The attacker was immediately arrested, and an attempt to murder case has been registered.
In response to the incident, the Delhi Police have implemented enhanced security protocols. Visitors are no longer allowed to approach the CM directly during the 'Jan Sunwai' sessions. Complaints will undergo verification before being presented to her, and a designated perimeter has been established to ensure her safety.
