CP Radhakrishnan Named NDA’s Vice-President Candidate
Taking a conscious step from the political point of view, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday, the Governor of Maharashtra, C.P. Radhakrishnan was declared as a candidate for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). This Vice-Presidential election is scheduled to be held on 9 September. This announcement shows the party's strategic intention that it wants to strengthen her grip in Western Tamil Nadu, especially the influential Gounder community - Radhakrishnan.
Radhakrishnan, known for his honesty and non-disputed image as an experienced politician, has played many roles from BJP state president to MP and now Governor and has received respect from all parties. His political journey began as an RSS volunteer and he reached the heights, which is constantly promoted - is a proof of his dedication and stable leadership.
Emphasizing cooperation, BJP National President J.K. P. Nadda announced that talks were going on with opposition parties for the election of the post of Vice President, so that consent -based or even uncontested elections could be held. Repeating this spirit, Radhakrishnan expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the nomination of Prime Minister Modi and resolved to serve the nation "till his last breath".
Meanwhile, the India alliance is also going to hold a meeting on its behalf to discuss the candidate, which indicates an ideological conflict and can determine the tone of the election. With the numerical edge of the NDA in Parliament, Radhakrishnan's candidature is considered to be a timely and well-planned trick, which can play an important role in the game of changing political chess.
