Bajaj Auto has appoint Shakti Upadhyay as it’s new Vice President – Brands, focusing on lead the Sports Motorcycle category, which includes famous models like Pulsar and Dominar. Upadhyay's appointment is seen as a strategic move to boost Bajaj Auto's global marketing initiatives and brand positioning.
Before joining Bajaj Auto, Upadhyay served as the Head of Marketing and PR at Kia India for seven years. He played a very important role in establishing Kia's brand presence in India, and overseen the launch campaigns for models like Seltos, Sonet, Carnival, Carens, and EV6. His leadership in marketing communications contributed much to Kia's success in competitive Indian automotive market.
Before his time at Kia, Upadhyay held key marketing roles at Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor India, where he involve in promoting popular models like i10, Santro, Verna, and Sonata. His wide experience across different automotive brands position him well to drive Bajaj Auto's brand strategy forward.
